Johanna Tropiano is an activist, speaker, and passionate storyteller with over a decade of experience advocating for the rights of those who are oppressed. She spent 5 years combating human trafficking as a staff member at International Justice Mission. In 2016, Johanna co-founded a nonprofit which aims to educate, equip, and restore survivors of abuse. In 2019, after spending time in a women’s prison in California, Johanna started a new position with Prison Fellowship to advocate on behalf of incarcerated women. As a survivor of domestic violence and child sexual assault, Johanna is a bold and compassionate voice. Her writing on these topics has been featured in Teen Vogue, Huffington Post, Darling Magazine, and multiple other outlets. She lives in Long Beach, California with her husband and daughter and is working on her forthcoming memoir, Travel Light.
